Emerging Markets Structuring

Baron Point’s transactional team is strategically positioned across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Over the next three to five years, Baron Point expects to have access to approximately US$3 billion to US$5 billion in equity and debt financing deal flow, as well as significant M&A transaction flow across multiple sectors and jurisdictions in Southeast Asia.

Our team maintains a particularly strong presence throughout the East-West Corridor of Southeast Asia — the large and rapidly growing economic bloc extending from Vietnam to Myanmar through Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand (“Indochina”). As an innovator within the region, Baron Point and its subsidiaries have conducted transactions with some of the world’s largest multinational corporations, state-owned entities, and government agencies.

Baron Point also launched one of the first shelf-registered emerging-market local currency debt programs designed to serve global institutional investors and debt capital markets participants. In addition, our team played a leading role in the acquisition, financing, and operational restructuring of the leading fast-food brand in Thailand, the second-largest economy in Southeast Asia, including the implementation of a new management structure supported by private equity and mezzanine financing.
